Protecting our Convict Sites
Brickendon and Woolmers Estate have received Federal Government funding to support conservation and restoration across the sites.
Brickendon has received $130,000 to engage a heritage consultant to develop and implement an annual maintenance plan for convict era buildings and features across the site.
Woolmers has received $264,000 for conservation works to the farm stables, roof, blacksmiths shop and woolshed.
The projects are two of 24 projects which will share in more than $4.4 million under the Federal Government's Protecting National Historic Sites program, designed for historic sites listed on the National Heritage List. For a full list of recipients for 2017-2018 click here.
Brickendon and Woolmers Estate are part of 11 sites that together form the Australian Convict Sites World Heritage.
