Maintaining Tasmania's Heritage Values

The Tasmanian Government has announced that, from 2023 onwards, $1.5 million a year will be invested from the increased revenues from Hotels and Clubs that the Future Gaming Policy delivers, to support and revitalise our unique heritage places.
Our beautiful State’s rich and diverse heritage is an integral part of our
way of life and is treasured by Tasmanian communities and admired by visitors.
Conserving, protecting and re-imagining our heritage listed places is vital
to ensuring their longevity and the future success of our tourism and
hospitality industry, and it is critical that we move to protect these assets
and create vibrant experiences that respond to local and visitor expectations.
We will also ensure the Heritage Places Renewal Loans Scheme is available to
the National Trust to continue their important work to conserve our built and
natural heritage.
