The Historic Heritage Summit was held on Friday 24 February 2023.
Convened by the Minister for Heritage, Hon Madeleine Ogilvie MP, and the Chair of the Tasmanian Heritage Council, Ms Brett Torossi, the Summit brought together key representatives from across Tasmania's built heritage sector.

Report on Tasmania's built heritage sector
During the event, the Minister publicly released a report into the Tasmanian built heritage sector, which identifies the key challenges and opportunities.
About the Summit
Purpose:
- To build collaboration within the sector by making connections with the broader sector participants.
- To identify the challenges/opportunities the sector faces.
- To identify some higher priority challenges/opportunities for the initial focus of effort.
- To commence the path towards improved leveraging of Tasmania's historic heritage.
